Qingdao Dean recalls 2402 gas storage tanks to eliminate safety hazards

Recently, Qingdao Dean Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Starting from today, a total of 2402 gas storage tanks produced from June 2016 to June 2025 will be recalled to effectively prevent storage tank safety risks.
It is reported that the gas storage tanks within the scope of this recall may have identity defects such as incomplete penetration, irregular holes, and slag inclusion in the welds due to manufacturing reasons. After long-term service under specific working conditions, welding defects will gradually expand, leading to a decrease in weld strength, which may cause tearing of container welds and pose safety hazards. This type of gas storage tank belongs to Class I pressure vessels, with air as the main medium and some steam. It is widely used in small and medium-sized enterprises such as food processing, mechanical processing, pharmaceuticals, and medical institutions.
Qingdao Dean stated that they will eliminate hidden dangers by returning the gas storage tanks within the recall scope for repair or discounted replacement, and notify relevant users through email, phone, and other means.
